1. Choose Professional Profile Picture

The third thing you should do is write a strong summary. It is the piece of text that you can find below your title. In your summary, you can explain what your skills are including your strengths. For instance, if you are a sales manager, then you can explain in your summary how you can help other people, how you can help businesses to grow, or what solutions you can offer to them. Adding social proof would be a great point.

 4. Use the Feature Section

The fourth one is to use the feature section to show off your expertise. Just below the “About” section is the “Featured” section, which allows you to put links, articles, and posts at the top of your profile. Sharing the accomplishment or mentions that are most relevant to your personal brand and LinkedIn goals is a perfect opportunity to prove your skills in real, said Wasserman. If you have an online portfolio, it is recommended to spot the link to it.

 5. No Difference between Resume and LinkedIn Profile

Last but not least, make sure your resume and LinkedIn profile match. It should not be identical. But your past experiences, companies, degrees, licenses, and certifications should match up, including the dates.
